Bing’s partnership with TuneIn lets users listen to radio stations directly in search

The Bing-TuneIn partnership will bring more than 10,000 stations directly into Bing’s search results for ‘online radio stations’ query.

Bing announced today it has partnered with TuneIn, an online subscription service for audio broadcasts.

Searches for “online radio stations” on Bing will now serve up a scrolling carousel at the top of the search results, listing what Bings says are the “most searched” radio stations.

When listeners click one of the station boxes in the carousel, they can listen to the station via the “Listen live” button directly from the search results page. Bing says the search works on both desktop and mobile.

While TuneIn’s website says it has 100,000 live radio stations and four million podcasts, Bing says it has identified over 10,000 stations and formats via TuneIn — with plans to add more over the coming months.
